Harry James Potter is a literary character, the protagonist of a series of novels by the English writer J.K. Rowling. On his eleventh birthday, Harry learns that he is a wizard and is destined for a place at the Hogwarts School of Wizardry, where he will practice magic under the guidance of Director Albus Dumbledore and other school professors.
