- Aggregation of up to 8 fiber-optic lines per
- Simultaneous use of optical modules SFP (1.25 Gb/s) and SFP + (10 Gb/s)
- Is a passive device and does not require power supply
- Installation of two multiplexers in rack 1U by means of chassis-attachment CWDM-CHASSIS-2
The CWDM solution from MikroTik provides up to 8 channels for transmitting/receiving signals with a wavelength of 1470-1610 nm.
A duplex fiber cable connects 2 dual-fiber MUX/DEMUX CWDM multiplexers, maintaining the same wavelength at each end of the fiber network.
The filter of each CWDM module of the device is configured for a certain wavelength. Therefore, it is important to connect the correct wavelength to the appropriate port.
One single-mode fiber cable is used to create up to 8 independent SFP connections with a data rate of 1.25 Gb/s (up to 40 km) or SFP +, 10 Gb/s (up to 10 km) - offering a more affordable alternative to laying or leasing additional fiber.
By using CWDM in your networks, you can:
- Improve the efficiency of the existing fiber optic network
- Provide scalable and simple services for the organization of fiber optic channels
- Reduce power consumption
- Reduce maintenance and installation costs.
