Read the Power Bank user manual
The user manual contains some really useful information. It is really important to familiarize yourself with it, because although external batteries are similar, they have certain differences.
First of all, pay attention to the number of exits/entrances and their type. The most popular connection standards are USB-A, USB-C and micro USB.
The battery is charged via microUSB and USB-C (if provided), discharged via USB-A, USB-C (optional). The number of outputs can be different, but you need to understand that if you use all the outputs to charge other devices at the same time, the external battery loses charge faster.
Carry out two or three full charge/discharge cycles
In order for the Power Bank to reach its maximum capacity, it is recommended to perform a full discharge/charge from time to time. It also stabilizes battery processes. The chemical reaction inside is started from the moment of the first use, it must be maintained by normal modes of use.
Do not discharge the Power Bank completely (to 0%)
Modern Li-ion batteries, which are used to complete batteries, do not need this. Constantly discharging them to 0% shortens the service life. Charge the battery when it still has 10-20% charge. External chargers have a discharge/charge level indicator.
Power Bank storage
If you do not plan to use the external battery for a long time, discharge it to about 50%. Keeping a fully charged (as well as fully discharged) battery is very harmful to it and significantly shortens its life.
Do not allow overheat batteries
Both during charging and from external factors (heating battery, direct sunlight, etc.), it is impossible for the battery to overheat.
Use only original chargers
If the Power Bank is recommended to be charged with a current of 2 A, use a charger that gives 2 A.
Chargers can be different, and more often they are chosen based on availability, and only then on compatibility with the devices that will be charged. Neglecting compatibility can lead to problems with charging a portable battery or even outage it over time.
It is recommended to use products of well-known brands and to buy at official trading points.
